The Pewaukee Triathlon is now in its seventh year. It again will feature a course that is ideal for both seasoned veterans and those that are new to the sport. The venue is unique as it takes place in downtown Pewaukee with quaint shops on one side and a sandy beach on the other. Easy to access, this is a fast paced, fun event finishing at Village Park for a huge buffet. The Official Charities are: the PKD Foundation, the Boys & Girls Club and Positively Pewaukee.

Friday,  July 9
4- 7 p.m. – Kids’ Registration and Adult packet pickup
4:30 p.m. Pre Race Kids Clinic for participants and parents

Saturday, July 10
6:30- 7:45 a.m. – Kids’ Registration
7:30 a.m. Pre Race Kids Clinic for participants and parents
8 a.m. – Kids’ START
10 a.m. – 5 p.m. – Adult packet pickup
Open Water Swims at 9 am, 11 am, 1 pm, 3 pm, 5 pm.

Sunday, July 11
5-6:15 a.m. - Computer Chip Pick up/body marking
6:15  a.m. - Transition closes line up on beach
6:30 a.m. – ADULT START
7:15 a.m.- First biker in
7:30 a.m. - First finish line
8:30 a.m. - Transition reopens for bike pick up
9:20 a.m. - Awards
10 a.m. - All bikes out of transition

DISTANCE
     1/4 mile swim, 15 mile bike, 3.1 mile run

THE COURSE
Swim
The swim will start at 6:30 a.m. on the Pewaukee Lake Beach. A map will be available for download on the right column.
 
Bike
The bike course heads out of downtown on Prospect Avenue. It enters a quiet suburban area with smooth, flat, and winding roads. The course breathes in the open-range Golf Road then travels around the lake viewing glacial rolling hills and the lake. Course follows to Glacier Road and finishes on Wisconsin Avenue. Elevation map is posted!

Run
The run heads toward Park Avenue hugging the lake shoreline. It turns up Spring Street and to Prospect Avenue. The remaining course is all downhill and returns back to Wisconsin Avenue and then to Village Park.

EVENT FEES
Adult: $50 to Feb 1, $70 to July 10th

Relay(each): $30 to Feb 1, $40  to July 10th

Kids: $15 to Feb 1, to July 9th $20, $25 July 10th

WHAT MIDWEST SPORTS EVENTS PROVIDES
We provide technically sound, safe, and exciting events. All participants receive a DRI WICK T-SHIRT, goody bag, chip timing, food and fun after the event. There will also be plenty of water and Gatorade stations along the run course. We do provide swim caps.

Bike racks will have your race number and wave you start in, up to 1300. Each mile on the run course will be marked. All courses will have highly visible signage for each turn.

Sign up early! The wave you are in is a first come, first serve basis and is determined on how early you register.

AWARDS
Awards will be given to the first overall female and male winners.  Age group awards will be given to the top 3 male and female in 5 year increments:  14 and under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95 and up. Medals are awarded to the Half finishers.  Awards to the top overall 3 relay teams, Athena and Clydesdale.  Athena and Clydesdale division is scored separately from age groups and is optional to enter.  Athena is female 150lbs+ and Clydesdale is male 200lbs+.

EVENT RULES AND INFORMATION
1. NO MP3 players, IPODs, radios or headphones allowed on the bike course.
2. Wetsuits may be worn.
3. There is no time limit for the event.
4. Helmets and swim caps are mandatory. We do not provide either.
5. Drafting is not permitted. Penalties will be enforced for drafting.
6. Please remove all equipment from the transition area after the Awards Ceremony. 
7. Bike safety check Saturday and morning of the event. (optional)
8. Chip Pick-Up is the morning of the event during the registration times. 
9. To get your chip, you must have your bib number. Lost timing chips are
    the responsibility of the participant. Timing company charges $50.
10.Transition will close 15 minutes prior to the start of the event, at 6:15 a.m.
11.We do not give refunds nor do we transfer fees from one race to another.

*Note: Midwest Sports Events has an unmarked security guard watching Transition at all times to protect and secure your equipment during the event. We do need all bikes removed after the award ceremony so our staff can begin tear down.

VOLUNTEER
Get a front row seat as a volunteer!  Volunteers are needed throughout the event to help with participant body marking, directing athletes on and off the course, and handing out water and food.  All volunteers receive a t-shirt, food during the race and a big thank you!!!
